Yalding St Peter and St Paul Primary School

Headteacher's Welcome

Dear Parents, Carers and Friends,

A very warm welcome to Yalding St Peter and St Paul Primary School.

It is a pleasure to welcome you to our school community. This website is designed to keep families informed about school life and to offer new visitors a window into the work of our staff and governors, as well as the learning journey our children experience throughout their time with us.

We are very fortunate to have a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring team of staff and governors who work closely together to ensure that our school is a happy, safe and inspiring place to learn. Alongside our wider school community, we aim to create an environment where every child feels valued, respected and able to succeed.

As a Church of England school, our distinct Christian ethos is at the heart of everything we do. Guided by our Christian values of love, respect and responsibility, we seek to create a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to care for one another, show compassion and take responsibility for their actions and learning. These values underpin daily life in our school and shape the way we learn, play and grow together as a community.

At the heart of our school is the belief that every child matters. We strive to provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the needs of all pupils, enabling them to grow in confidence, develop curiosity and become engaged learners. We encourage children to ask questions, think deeply and take pride in their achievements, all within a culture built on kindness, respect and responsibility. In line with our Christian ethos, we seek to offer children "life in all its fullness" (John 10:10), helping them to flourish academically, socially and spiritually.

We set high expectations for all pupils, both in their learning and in the way they treat others. We encourage children to do their very best in all they undertake, while also supporting them to develop strong personal values and positive attitudes. This helps to create a nurturing and purposeful environment where a love of learning can thrive.

We greatly value the partnership we have with parents and carers, recognising that children achieve their best when home and school work closely together. We encourage families to be actively involved in school life, as this shared commitment plays a vital role in supporting each child to reach their full potential.

We are proud of our school and the children who are part of it - children who are encouraged to grow into kind, responsible and thoughtful individuals. We look forward to working with you and welcoming you into our school community.

Best wishes,

Mrs Jackson

Headteacher
